Upcoming Maurin Academy Series with James Murphy on Tuesday, September 26, 2023

Peter Maurin’s Easy Essays encourage Catholic Workers interested in constructing a new social order to read the personalist revolutionaries: Emmanuel Mounier and Jacques Maritain.

These personalist and communitarian philosophers also inspired Fr. Jose Maria Arizmindi, the founder of Mondragon, the world’s largest industrial worker-owned cooperative. What can Mondragon illustrate about Peter Maurin’s program that Catholic Workers can draw on to create a new society in the shell of the old? What similarities can we see when looking at Peter Maurin’s life and Fr. Jose Maria Arizmindi, what they studied, taught, and what they did to share their ideas that largely draw from Catholic Social Teaching and Personalism? These are just some of the questions James Murphy will touch on in this session. You won’t want to miss this!

Join James Murphy as he leads a presentation and discussion on these questions Tuesday, September 26 at 7 p.m. US Central Time, live on Zoom.
