The JPII Catholic Worker Farm is headed by the Maurin Academy’s Spencer Hess and Emily Larner. It holds a special place in the Maurin Academy’s framework. It operates in the spirit of Peter Maurin’s “agronomic universities,” as a place where people can learn both to become more independent through work and community, and learn from each other through the opportunities afforded by the Maurin Academy and the on-the-ground activities of friends and neighbors in Kansas City, MO.
