The “last Marxist” Chris Cutrone, one of the founders of the Platypus Society, will be our guest for a live speech on Zoom with Q & A starting at 7 p.m. US Central Time, April 22. Cutrone has given several interviews on our own Dustbowl Diatribes podcast, and he is a frequent interlocutor of Douglas Lain of Sublation Media.
We’ve asked Chris to give a talk on the meaning and importance for Marx of the 1848 revolutions in Europe, which were associated with the birth of the social democratic movement. Chris Cutrone is the author of the recent title, The Death of the Millennial Left. and numerous articles. Our interview with him on the death of the millennial left can be found here.
Cutrone’s talk will be for our Maurin Academy patrons on Patreon, our platform for hosting classes, reading groups and talks on matters we care about: the environment, economic conditions, politics and religion.
