On August 12 at 7 p.m. US Central Time, Dave McKerracher, founder of Theory Underground and author of Timenergy will join us for a talk inspired by his years of learning as well as his current project. He and Ann have moved to his family’s farm to start a new stage of their lives, grounded in place.
Dave will speak for 45 minutes to an hour on the theme of nature, nurture and natality. His main aim will be to introduce the idea of Soul Soil Systems based on “Nature, Nurture and Natality,” for the sake of humans having their Timenergy, Talent, and Tutelage. He will present these ideas as alternatives to the destruction of life, commons, and its production of the post class fractured mass. These problems are, in his view, all products of late capitalism.
McKerracher’s books are: Waypoint: Timenergy, Critical Media Theory, and Culture War and TIMENERGY: Why You Have No Time or Energy. Theory Underground has also recently published an anthology called Underground Theory, which features works by famous authors in the theory scene alongside as cutting edge work by fellow travelers and students of TU.
